February Monthly Meet-Up | Collective Care in Action
📅 When: Friday, February 27, 2026
⏰ Time: 6:00–8:00 PM
📍 Location: Norman B. Leventhal Visitors Center
As we commemorate 100 years of Black History Month, BHWOCC invites members to gather for an evening centered on collective care, community, and action. Together, we'll honor the legacy of Black leadership by recognizing that protecting our neighbors and supporting one another are essential acts of environmental justice.
Throughout the evening, members will share a potluck-style meal, assemble community support kits for families impacted by immigration enforcement, and create handmade stress-relief sachets as small but meaningful acts of care. The gathering will also include a lightly facilitated, trauma-informed space for conversation, reflection, and resource-sharing.
We're grateful to be in collaboration with mission-aligned partners, including local small businesses and community advocates committed to responsible material sourcing and mutual support.
This gathering celebrates the leadership, care, and expertise of women of color. We believe our lived experiences, collective wisdom, and community networks are essential to advancing safety, belonging, and environmental justice.
